Hi there, it’s been a while! I hope you had a great week and that your weekend is going well!
It’s was a crazy busy week for me recovering from a few days spent playing at the Scrapbook Expo in Sacramento last weekend, and then taking a day trip down to Southern California for work followed by co-leading two day-long meetings. But it’s the weekend now and I finally got to say hello to my markers 🙂
I started by stamping a couple of the beautiful sweet pea stamps from Studio Katia’s You’re So Sweet stamp set. I didn’t have to do any masking to add the top flower. Instead I used a 0.3 Copic Multiliner pen to connect the stem to the other image. I used the same pen to extend the bottom of the stem to the edge of the panel. I used Copic-fiendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink and Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.
For the flowers I used R32, R35, and R39 and for the leaves I used G21, G24, and G28. I also used a dark red and a dark green Prismacolor pencil to add additional depth in the nooks and crannies. Since those pencils are wax-based, there’s a bit of sheen on the card which reflected light and actually made the darkest spots look lighter in the photos. But in real life, I think the colored pencil really made a difference 🙂
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then trimmed the panel down. I trimmed a slightly larger panel of a red Recollections cardstock and then adhered it to the back of my flower panel. Then I used foam tape to pop up that panel and adhere it to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
