Hi there, happy mid-week!
Today I’m sharing my second Christmas card of the year, this time using a few sets from Concord and 9th. I admit that I’m having a hard time feeling motivated to make holiday cards given that here, in the San Francisco Bay Area, October is often one of the nicest months we have. So, I decided to use yellow, which always makes me happy!
I also wanted to go for a slightly tropical feel so I used some florals from the So Happy For You stamp set and used the coordinating dies, and dies for the greenery. The die set is called Floral Hoop Dies. I used Altenew Warm Sunshine ink for the flowers and a Copic G16 marker to color the greenery. I adhered each of the die cuts to the corners of an A2-sized piece of cardstock using a single Zots Bling adhesive dot. This allows the die cuts, particularly the greens, to lift off the panel a bit, for some fun dimension.
For the sentiment, I used five Ranger Alcohol Inks to create a colored panel of Yupo. I dropped Wild Plum, Eggplant, Turquoise, Clover, and Lettuce onto the panel in stripes. When the panel was dry, I used the Merry & Bright die to cut the sentiment from the panel. I also die cut the sentiment three times out of 110# white cardstock and then I stacked and adhered them together. I adhered the stacked sentiment to the card front with liquid adhesive.
To fill in some empty areas, I used a Copic Y15 marker to add a few dots here and there. And to finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
