Hi there, I hope you’ve had a lovely day!
Today for World Cardmaking Day I made a card using the Flowers Aplenty stamp from Unity Stamp Company. I’d never purchased any of their product before, but I saw a card using this stamp over on Instagram and I just knew I had to have it!
I started by stamping the background stamp in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. All of the flowers and leaves, even the little black dots, are part of the stamp, how easy is that?! No masking or anything!
Then I got down to coloring. I used R81, R83, R85, and R89 for the pink flowers, V22, V25, and V28 for the purple flowers, and G20, G21, and G24 for the leaves. I also added a few extra black dots using a black Copic Multiliner 0.3 pen.
I stamped the small part of the sentiment, which is from Simon Says Stamp’s Tiny Words stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Then I die cut the large “thanks” sentiment, from Simon Says Stamp’s CZ Design Thanks die set, from black Recollections cardstock. I cut the shadow layer from vellum and then adhered the pieces together and then onto the card front, though it’s hard to see the vellum in the photos.
The Unity stamp is just a hair smaller than A2 so I trimmed the edges and then trimmed down an A2-sized card base to match. To finish, I adhered the card front to the card base.
Thanks for swinging by!
