Hi there, I hope you had a great Wednesday!
I had the very happy opportunity to spend another day at Kathy Racoosin’s The Coloring Challenge Roadtrip, this time in Arizona. If you’re in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend visiting Our Creative Escape in Goodyear. Their crafting space is beautiful, their shop is full of gifts and supplies, and their owner, Kim, is the woman behind Paper Smooches!
This is the card front that I made today, between chatting with new crafty friends and friends I’ve been fortunate to make over the last few months since my first Roadtrip. I can’t remember the names of the two Paper Smooches stamp sets I used but I’ll update this when I get home from the airport and unpack the goodies I bought and used for this card 😉
I started by stamping the two sprays of flowers in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto am A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored everything in, adding just a bit of shading since the elements are quite small. To add a bit of texture, I added small dots here and there.
I also added a drop shadow, starting first with C3 and then softening and extending it with C1.
Then I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. I used a yellow Copic marker to add a three trios of dots near the sentiment.
I’ll finish up by adhering this to an A2-sized card base when I get home.
Thanks for coming by!
