Hi there, I hope your week has gotten off to a great start!
Today I’m sharing a card using one of the pretty new stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp. I’m entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge, the theme this time around is “Do It With Dimension” and this card’s simple dimension from foam tape qualifies! Be sure to check out the challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift card from Simon Says Stamp.
I started by heat embossing the large spray of flowers from the Sketched Flowers stamp set using Versamark ink and Ranger gold embossing powder. I did the same with some using the leaves stamp and one of the flower stamps. Then I used a water brush and Distress Oxide inks to paint the flowers. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple, and Barn Door for the blooms and berries, and I used Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn for the leaves.
I fussy cut the florals and then arranged them onto an A2-sized panel. I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink and then adhered all of the floral elements. The individual leaves and a single flower are adhered flat to the panel, and I used foam tape to pop up the entire large spray of flowers.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for visiting!
Beautiful! I love the beautiful colors you chose, and your watercoloring is lovely. Thank you for sharing the details.
