Today I’m sharing a card using some beautiful stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh. I thought these nice open flowers would be perfect for practicing leaving white space in my flowers, something that I don’t usually do.
I started by stamping the all of the flowers and leaves from the Pretty Pink Posh Anenomes stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I used R81, R83, R85, and RV19 to color the flowers, and BG11, BG15, and BG18 to color the leaves. Rather than have the darkest colors coming from the inner part of the flowers, I started from the outside and layered colors inwards, leaving quite a bit of white space. When I finished coloring, I cut out everything out using a Brother ScanNCut2.
Then I stamped the sentiment, from the Simple Sayings: Kind stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturn ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White. I placed a small piece of scrap paper over the sentiment and then flicked a bit of watered down black gouache on the card front to create splatter.
When the gouache was dry, I began adhering the flowers and leaves. Most are glued flush to the card front, but I popped up a few with foam tape.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-size cared base.
