Feel Good Cards, Just Because Cards

Because You Inspire Me

Hello there and happy almost-weekend to you!

Today I’m combining a few pretty sets from Concord and 9th.  I love playing with these Turnabout stamps!

I started by stamping the Lovely Blossoms Turnabout stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock in four different Altenew Colors: Vineyard Berry, Rouge, Evergreen, and Forest Glades.  It’s so easy to create a beautiful background with only four turns of my paper!

Then I used the Lovely Blossoms die set to cut the hexagon out of 110# Recollections cardstock.  I used the same paper to die cut some leafy branches from the Just Because die set, and then I set these white pieces aside.

I die cut the sentiment, also from the Just Because set, and then used a blending tool to ink up the sentiment with Vineyard Berry.  Then heat embossed “you inspire me” onto a strip of cardstock using Versamark ink and white Hero Arts embossing powder.  I inked up with the same red ink and then used scissors to cut the banner ends.  The next time I do this, I’ll ink up the cardstock first and then heat emboss second because the dye ink stained the white embossing a bit.  I’d forgotten that dye inks probably wouldn’t clean up as nicely as Distress inks, oops!

To assemble the card I used small drops of liquid glue to adhere the leafy branches to the hexagon. Then I used a Zig 2-way Glue pen to adhere the “because” sentiment over the stems.  I used a combination of foam tape and Zots Bling adhesive dots to adhere the banner since the varying thickness of the adhesives would help compensate for the varying heights of the layers beneath the banner.

Then I adhered the hexagon to the background and finally, I adhered the background to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks so much for visiting!
