Fall Cards

I Love Fall Most Of All

Hi there!

Today I’m sharing a fall card after indulging my love for spring yesterday.  I pulled out a couple of Concord and 9th sets to make this quick card featuring a beautiful die cut and a simple sentiment.

I started by masking off the top and bottom margins of an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then I used foam blending tools to blend Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, and Scattered Straw Distress Inks on to the background.  To create the splatter, I watered down a little bit of Burnt Sienna Artists’ Loft Gouache and then flicked it onto the background using an 8 round brush.

While the panel was drying, I die cut the leaf out of kraft Recollections cardstock using dies from the Thankful Leaves die set.  Then I used a foam blending tool to randomly dab on some Golden Glitz Delicata ink.  I added glue behind only the stem and the main spine of the leaf and then adhered it to the background, letting the sides of the leaf lift off the panel.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Give Thanks stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks so much for visiting!
