Hi there, I hope you’re enjoying the first Saturday of summer!
Today’s card features the Lovely Blooms stamp set from Studio Katia with a sentiment from the You Got This stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I’m using colors inspired by The Color Throwdown Challenge #498.
I’m really enjoying and benefitting from the extra encouragement that The Daily Marker’s 30-day Coloring Challenge gives me to get out my markers and color. I’m still new to coloring and alcohol markers and I think I the daily practice has helped improved my comfort level.
I started this card by stamping the spray of flowers onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink.
Then I got out my markers and started coloring. I chose pinks and oranges for the flowers and some light greens for the leaves. When I finished coloring, I used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add some dots of white to the flowers’ stamen.
I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a scrap piece of 110# Recollections black cardstock and then poured Hero Arts white embossing powder over it and hit it with a heat gun. I trimmed the sentiment down to a small strip and added a thin strip of foam tape to the back before adhering it to the flower panel.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for visiting!
