Love Is All We Need

Happy Friday, I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!

Today’s card features a rainbow theme and a whole lot of love.  I’ve used the Love Is Love Bold Prints background stamp from Hero Arts, the Bold Alphabet die set from Altenew, and the Love stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I started by stamping the Love Is Love background stamp in VersaMark ink onto a small panel of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock.  Then I sprinkled Hero Arts white embossing powder over it and hit it with a heat gun.

I used ink daubers and six colors of Distress Inks to create a rainbow stripe.  The colors I used were Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, and Abandoned Coral.

Then I die cut the word “love” out of an A2-sized piece of the same cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then added foam tape to the back of the pane, just around the negative space left by the love die cut.  I adhered the rainbow panel behind that and then used a teeny tiny piece of foam tape to add the small piece of the “e” back in.  I left the “o” open so that the words behind were more readable.

I added more foam tape to the perimeter of the card front and then adhered it to an A2-sized card base and that finished up today’s card.
