Hi there!
One of my favorite things to do is to heat emboss a beautiful background stamp and then blend Distress Oxide Inks over it. It’s a quick and easy way to create a lovely card. This card uses the Emma background stamp and the I Love You die from Simon Says Stamp.
I started by heat embossing the background stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. I used Versamark ink to stamp the background and then poured Hero Arts white embossing powder over it before I hit it with a heat gun.
Then I used foam blending tools to blend, from the inside of the pattern outwards, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks. I found that the Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon were a bit too close in color, so I added Cracked Pistachio on top of the Broken China at the center of the pattern. Note that Cracked Pistachio alone is much brighter and greener on its own, without the layer of Broken China beneath it.
I die cut the sentiment and it’s shadow out of scrap white cardstock. I blended Blueprint Sketch evenly over the shadow cut and then adhered the white I Love You onto it using liquid adhesive. Then I used the same adhesive to adhere the sentiment and shadow onto the background.
To finish, I adhered the card front onto an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
WOW = astoundingly beautiful!
