Wishing You A Beautiful Day | Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! Today is day two of the Simon Says Stamp blog hop celebrating the Be Bold release and I’m very glad you’re here! If you’ve arrived from Lea Lawson’s blog, you’re right on track. And, if we haven’t met before you can find me here on my blog and also over on Instagram.

I have two cards to share today so let’s dive in!

Wishing You A Beautiful Day

My first card features the fun new Pretty Petals stamp set (also available in a bundle with dies). I stamped the flower and leaf outline images in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a panel of white cardstock. Next, I stamped the layers of the bloom in Melon, Peachy, Cheeky, and Lemonade, and the leaves in Aspen Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

Using a die from the Nested Domed Arches die set, I cut out the flower, framing it within the arch. I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, and then set the arched panel aside.

For the background, I stamped the Hand-lettered Friends background stamp in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a panel of peach cardstock for a subtle tone-on-tone effect.

To assemble the card, I use foam tape to adhere the stamped piece on to the background and then glued the card front to a card base.

Happy Birthday

My second card features the new Lush Leaves die and Happy die. I cut the leaves four times, once from a light orange cardstock, once from a pink cardstock, and twice from white cardstock. I arranged them around a panel of white cardstock and used glue and foam dots to adhere them.

Next, I created the sentiment by cutting the detail layer from a dark pink cardstock and the shadow layer from white cardstock. I glued the two pieces together and added them to the panel with foam tape.

Last, I added a small stamped “birthday” sentiment before gluing the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting! I’m the last stop of the day but be sure to check below for the full blog hop list and information about the giveaway!

The February My Monthly Hero Kit is about peace and friendship reminding us that we all share the same sky, the same hopes and dreams. This kit features a 6″ x 8″ clear stamp set filled with beautiful, serene floral images and sentiments that will expand your creative horizons. Also included are a bountiful 17 coordinating dies and 4 tag fancy dies. The kit is rounded out with twine, an ink cube, and a generous amount of white cardstock.

The Premium Kit includes additional elements to extend the potential for more cards and projects – even more Creativity in the Box! In addition to all the Classic Kit components, the highlight of the Premium kit includes a Radiant Sun Stencil and a whopping 48 pieces of ephemera, featuring colorful flowers, hearts, butterflies, and words. Also included is a 3″ x 4″ clear stamp filled with positive messages, word fancy dies, and embossing powder.

My first card features a stamped and die cut image from the kit against a background made with the stencil that is included in the Premium version of the kit. I stamped and colored the bouquet and ribbon with Copic markers and then used foam tape to adhere the image to a background panel made with the stencil. I stamped a small sentiment (also from the kit) and then glued the panel to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Arctic cardstock. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.

My second card features the Groovy Window Fancy Die, one of this month’s add-ons. For this quick and easy card I simply sprayed a 4.25″ x 5″ panel of white cardstock with two Hero Arts Two-Tone Metallic Sprays and then used the Groovy Window die to create a beautiful window in a panel of white cardstock. I glued the two panels together and then added a sentiment made with a stamp and die from the Cosmos and Lavender Bundle. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.

Hugs & Kisses | Simon Says Stamp Sweetheart Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! Today is day one of the Simon Says Stamp blog hop celebrating both the Smitten and Sweetheart releases and I’m very glad you’re here! If you’ve arrived from Lea Lawson’s blog, you’re right on track. And, if we haven’t met before you can find me here on my blog and also over on Instagram.

My card today features the gorgeous new Whirl Diamond Plate die and the Hugs & Kisses dies. I started off by using foam blending tools to blend Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks over a 4.25″ x 5″ panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock.

When the ink was dry, I used the Whirl Diamond Plate to cut it, taking care to keep the resulting panel upside down and to let the fallout pieces stay in place. I added foam circles to the backs of the fallout pieces, removed the release paper, and then placed a 4.25″ x 5″ panel of white cardstock over the piece to adhere it to the fallout pieces. Then, I rotated the Whirl Diamond Plate frame by 180 degrees and used more foam tape to adhere it to the panel.

Next, I die cut the sentiment three times from heavy white cardstock. I stacked and glued the layers together and then glued them to the background. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Jean Doeringsfeld. Be sure to check below for the full blog hop list and information about the giveaway, and don’t forget to swing by the Simon Says Stamp blog tomorrow to kick off day 2!

In case you missed it, here’s a card I shared earlier in the week that features the new Regal Hearts cling stamp!
