Miss You | Hero Arts Spring 2022 Catalog Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there and welcome!

The new Her o Arts 2022 Spring Catalog is live and we’re celebrating with a blog hop full of inspiration and a giveaway! If you’ve arrived from Pocono Pam’s blog, you’re right on track. If you’d like to start from the beginning, head on over to the Hero Arts blog.

I’ve got four cards to share today so let’s dive right in!

Miss You

My first card features the new Tulip Bouquet stamp set and coordinating dies and the Looking Glass Ornate Frame die. To recreate this card:

  1. Stamp the tulips in Intens-ified Black Ink onto Dove White cardstock
  2. Color the tulips (I used Copic YG00, Y13, Y15, Y17, and Y38 for the blooms and YG13, YG17, and BV13 for the leaves and stems)
  3. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the tulips; set aside
  4. Use the Looking Glass Ornate Frame die to cut three pieces of Dove White cardstock; then stack and glue the layers together
  5. Glue the frame to a 4″ x 5.25″ panel of Dove White cardstock
  6. Use foam tape to adhere the tulips over the frame
  7. Stamp the sentiment in Onyx pigment ink
  8. Adhere the card front to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Mustard cardstock
  9. Adhere the card front to a card base

Congrats

My next card features the Floral Border die and the Congrats & Yay Stamp & Cut XL set. I love how well these two items pair together! To recreate this card:

  1. Use the Floral Border die to cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock
  2. Color in the floral details with markers or color pencils
  3. Adhere to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Arctic cardstock; set aside
  4. Use the congrats die from the Congrats & Yay Stamp & Cut XL set to cut another piece of Arctic cardstock; cut the shadow layer from vellum layering paper and set the shadow layer aside
  5. Use a blending brush to blend Aquatic Ink over the bottom part of the blue sentiment and let the color fade as you move up
  6. Glue the blue sentiment to the vellum shadow layer
  7. Use foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the background
  8. Adhere the card front to a card base

Happy Birthday

My third card features the Girl With Kite die and a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set. To recreate this card:

  1. Use the die to cut a piece of white cardstock
  2. Color the image with markers or colored pencils (I used Copic YG05, G05, for the tree leaves and flower stems, E35 and E37 for the tree trunk and girl’s hair, Y18, Y17, and YR15 for the kite and blooms, YR20 for the girl’s skin, and V12 and V15 for the girl’s dress)
  3. Stamp the sentiment, from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set, in Onyx pigment ink, at the bottom of the panel
  4. Use Deep Ocean liquid watercolor to watercolor a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of watercolor paper, concentrating the color at the top of the panel and letting it fade to light blue towards the bottom
  5. Adhere the kit scene to the watercolor background
  6. Adhere the card front to a card base

From The Bottom Of My Heart

My last card features the Artichoke Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies. To recreate this card:

  1. Stamp the artichoke images in Intens-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock
  2. Use markers or colored pencils to color the images
  3. Use the coordinating dies to cut them out; set aside
  4. Mask off the borders of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock, leaving just a square uncovered towards the top 2/3 of the card
  5. Use a blending brush to blend Dandelion ink over the exposed area, concentrating the color towards the bottom and edges and letting it fade in some areas
  6. Stamp the sentiment in Onyx pigment ink
  7. Use foam tape to adhere the artichokes
  8. Adhere the card front to a card base

  1. The girl with the kit die looks like so much fun. I usually use the overlay dies in white. Coloring this one really adds a lot of depth to the scene.
