Missing You So
My first card features the new Chelsea Butterfly die set against a background made with the new Just Because Background stamp.
To create this card:
- Heat embossed the sentiment pattern onto a 4.25″ x 5″ panel of white cardstock using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink and Hero Arts Ultra Fine Clear embossing powder
- Spray the background with Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade Distress sprays
- Cut the panel using a medium arch die from the Nested Domed Arches die set, then glue the rectangular piece of the panel to a top-folding card base
- Cut another panel of white cardstock using a larger arch die
- Glue the arches from steps 3 and 5 together, then use foam tape to adhere the combined piece to the front of the card
- Use the Chelsea Butterly die to cut two butterflies
- Use a blending brush to apply Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink to the bodies of the butterflies
- Glue the pieces of the butterflies together, then glue to the card front
- Stamp a sentiment from the CZ Design Simple Sentiments 2 stamp set onto white cardstock, then trim into a strip and use foam tape to adhere to the card front

Give Thanks And Eat Pie
My second card is a an almost-one-layer card featuring the Give Thanks and Eat Pie stamp set and the Stripes and Plaid Builder stencil set.
To create this card:
- Stamp the pie, from the Give Thanks and Eat Pie stamp set, just above center of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock. The colors I used were three lighter browns from the Altenew Fall Harvest ink set, Morning Frost (for the whipped cream shadow) and Simon Says Stamp Sangria
- Stamp the sentiments in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
- Use blending brushes to blend the layers of the Stripes and Plaid Builder stencil set in Dew Drops and Aqualicious taking care not to blend over the stamped image and sentiment; I left a lot of white space but you could use the stencil set to create a denser plaid background
- Trim the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and glue to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Hero Arts Paradise cardstock; then glue the card front to a card base
Thank you so much for visiting!

Darn it, I thought I was going to make it through an 80 stop hop without getting emotional over a card. Right in the feels.
