Thank You Cards

Thank You | Simon Says Stamp Sweetheart Release

Hello friend, I hope you’re having a lovely day! Today I have another card that features supplies from the Simon Says Stamp Sweetheart release. For this card I used the Acetate Hearts Foil Transfer Cards and the new Just My Type: Friend layering stencil and die bundle (also available as separate stencils and die set).

The foil transfer cards make it super quick and easy to create a beautifully foiled panel. I simply placed a piece of gold Deco Foil over one of the four acetate cards in the set, placed them both in a carrier sheet, and then ran it through a Mini Minc foil applicator machine (a regular laminator will work, too!).

Next, I worked on the sentiment. I used the four-piece layering stencil set, large blending brushes, and SweetsWatermelonBlush, and Peony Pawsitively Saturated inks to create the colorful striped sentiment. The stencils are very easy to line up, especially with the registration marks that are at the corners of each stencil. And, each layer of the stencil includes two sentiments (the other is “hello friend”) so it’s an easy two-for-one! I used the coordinating dies to cut out the sentiment, cut two more sentiment shapes from heavy white cardstock, and then glued the layers together to make a heavier and thicker piece.

To assemble the card, I added a few small dots of glue behind the gold foil on the acetate card and then glued it to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ white card base. Then I glued the sentiment on top. The acetate cards could easily be used over more colorful backgrounds, or to make a shaker card, but because I wanted to let this colorful striped sentiment stand out, I kept the background simple.

Thank you so much for visiting!
