My card features the new Craft-A-Flower: Saffron Layering Die Set. This set makes it so easy to put together two gorgeous large blooms! I began by die cutting the bottom petal layer of each bloom from a dark pink cardstock and the upper layers and petal details from a slightly lighter coordinating pink cardstock. On the lighter layers, I added some shading using the Copic Airbrush System (with an air compressor) and a dark pink Copic Marker. This look can also be achieved with a blending brush and dark pink ink.

Next, I glued all the petal layers together and then glued the yellow and green details to the centers of the flower.

For the background, I used the Tiled Chevron 3D Embossing folder to dry emboss a piece of white cardstock and then die cut the resulting embossed piece with a die from the Ornate Nesting die set. I used foam tape to adhere the piece to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of light gray cardstock and then used more foam tape to adhere the blooms and leaves.

To finish, I added a die cut sentiment created using the Elegant Sayings stamp and die bundle and then glued the card front to a card base.
