I have two cards to share today; let’s dive in!

Miss You

My first card features the Gateway To Morocco Die Set, the Plum Blossoms Layering Die Set, and the Elegant Sayings Stamp and Die Bundle.

I die cut the archway from a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock and then used foam tape to pop it up against a panel of light blue cardstock to which I’d added some shading using a large blending tool and Aqualicious Crisp Dye ink.

Next, I die cut the arch details from a warm yellow cardstock and adhered them to the panel. Then I die cut the flower layers, glued them together, and then adhered them to the card front using a combination of foam tape and glue dots to create varying dimension.

To finish, I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment which I’d heat embossed in white embossing powder onto black cardstock and then glued the card front to a card base.

My second card is very quick and simple. It features the Embellished Star Die which I used to cut a piece of ink-sprayed cardstock (I used teal and green Dylusions Ink Sprays). I used glue to adhere it to a card base, letting the edges of the star lift up and away from the card base for dimension. I added a heat embossed sentiment, from the Elegant Sayings Stamp and Die Bundle, and then trimmed the star where it hung off the card base.

  2. Both cards are great, but the first one has to be my favorite! I really like how you just left the blue background simple so it showcased the rest of the card.

    And the Embellished Star die you made with the ink sprays…beautiful! It almost looks like a glitter paper the way it came out. Thank you for the inspiration!
