Thinking Of You | Altenew March 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop #1 + Giveaway

Thinking Of You

My first card features the gorgeous new Craft-A-Flower: Southern Magnolia Layering Die Set. I die cut all of the pieces from white cardstock and then used Copic markers and the Copic Airbrush system to add color softly to all of the pieces. Then I used the registration marks and numbers on each piece to easily layer and glue them together. I used glue dots to adhere the blooms to a very pale blush background panel that I created using the Modern Lines 3D embossing folder. I finished by adding a small sentiment and then gluing the card front to a card base.

My second card features the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden set. I stamped one of the large floral images and then used the coordinating stencils, small blending tools and Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Bamboo, and Parrot Crisp Dye inks to color the image. I cut out the image with the coordinating die and then used foam tape to adhere it to a background with texture created using the Herringbone Tiles 3D embossing folder. I added sentiments made with stamps and a coordinating die that are included in the kit and then I glued the card front to a card base.

My last card features the Build-A-Garden: Dancing Poppies set. I stamped the flower images and then used the coordinating stencils, small blending tools, and Chamomile, Marigold, and Forest Glades Crisp Dye inks to color the images. I due cut all of the images and then used foam tape to glue them to a background panel made with the Modern Lines 3D embossing folder. Then, I added a die cut sentiment made using the Sweet Sentiments die set and a small stamped sentiment from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden set. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.

  24. Love your cards. Each one brings the floral out and pops off the card. So fun to see the Magnolia die set, it’s gorgeous how you presented the flower with all of the layers.

  32. Hi Seeka, all your cards are beautiful. I can’t wait to get the Magnolia die after seeing your first card. It is so beautiful. You could use if for an engagement or Wedding card. I love how the Modern Lines looks like a tree behind the Magnolia.
