Hello, I hope you’re having a good week! Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Primrose Blossom layering die set! If you arrived from Jenny Colacicco’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.
My card today sets the sentiment, flowers, and leaves from the Craft-A-Flower: Primrose Blossom set against a white-on-white background made using the Peeking Leaves cover die.
I started by die cutting the layers of the blooms and leaves from colored cardstock and layering and adhering the pieces together. For the blooms I used six different colors of cardstock (from light to dark, Gina K. Barely There, Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush, The Stamp Market Salmon, Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet, Hero Arts Cherry; and for the yellow detail, Papertrey Ink Summer Sunshine). For the leaves I used two greens (Papertrey Ink Green Parakeet and New Leaf).
Next, I die cut the sentiment from green cardstock (Concord & 9th Sprout) and used a small blending tool to blend Shadow Creek Crisp Dye ink over the bottom portion of the sentiment. I cut the sentiment twice more from heavy white cardstock and then stacked and adhered the layers together, with the green piece on top.
For the background, I used the Peeking Leaves cover die twice times to cut two pieces of heavy white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the layers together and then adhered the piece to a card base. To finish up the card, I arranged and adhered the leaves and blooms using glue dots.
Thank you so much for coming by! Your next stop is the lovely Nathalie DeSousa. Be sure to check below for information about the giveaway and for the full blog hop list!
