Hello and happy Friday! Today, Tonic Studios is celebrating their exclusive Stamp Club Sunshine & Sunflowers stamp and die release with a blog hop and giveaway. This sunny bundle is inspired by Maria Willis. If you’ve arrived from Sandi’s blog, you’re right on track! If you’d like to start at the beginning, head on over to visit Maria.

I started off this card by creating a whole bunch of sunflowers. I used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder to heat emboss the sunflowers onto white cardstock. Then, using the coordinating dies and Post-it Tape, I cut little masks for the centers of the flowers (for the smallest flower, I just fussy cut a little oval of Post-it Tape). I set aside the negative pieces of the masks to use later.
I placed the masks over the centers of the flowers and then, using a blending brush, I blended a yellow dye ink over the entire flower. Leaving the masks in place, I then used a smaller blending brush to add a very yellowy orange near the centers of the flowers to create just a bit of depth and color variation. With the petals complete, I removed the masks.
Next, I used the negative pieces of the masks to mask off the petals, leaving the centers of the flowers exposed. Using another blending brush, I blended a brown ink into the centers of the flowers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut out all of the flowers.
I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink onto an A2-sized piece of white cardstock and then trimmed 3/8″ off the length and the width of the panel. I then used a combination of glue and foam tape to adhere the flowers. Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop in the hop is the Jen Kray! Be sure to check below for information about the giveaway and to see the full blog hop list.
