Hello there, I hope you’re having a good day!
There are new goodies in the Gina K. Designs shop and today I’m sharing a card using the new May Flowers stamp set. This set includes a beautiful large spray of flowers as well as these delicate Lilies of the Valley which I think are so lovely.
To start off this simple card, I stamped the two Lily of the Valley images in Copic-friendly Obsidian Amalgam ink onto white cardstock. Next, I color the images using YG000, YG01 for the blooms, and YG17 and YG23 for the stems. I cut out the images (I didn’t have them on hand but coordinating dies are available) and then set them aside.
For the background, I used Post-it Tape to mask off a half inch border around an A2-sized piece of white cardstock. Then I used a blending brush to blend Peach Bellini ink over the exposed area, concentrating the color at the bottom of the panel and letting it fade to white at the top of the panel. I really like how this peachy color looks with the light green of the flowers!
I stamped the sentiment onto the background and then used foam glue to adhere the bottom of the stems to the background. For dimension, I added small bits of foam tape behind the blooms. And to finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.
Thank you so much for coming by!

Beautiful! The flowers are so soft and pretty and the background you created sets such a nice ‘mood’ for the whole thing 🌿
