Happy Mother’s Day | Simon Says Stamp All The Feels Release Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello there, I hope your weekend has gotten off to a good start!

I’m so excited to be part of day two of the Simon Says Stamp All The Feels release blog hop! This month’s release has so many fun products that are perfect for spring and for Mother’s Day!

I started off my card today by stamping the sweet flower girl image from the Bouquet For Mom stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intens-ified Black ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock. Then I set about coloring her with a variety of Copic markers (Simon Says stamp has a great collection of Copic Sketch markers!):

  • Yellow flowers: Y11, Y15, Y17
  • Pink flowers: R21, R22, R24
  • Purple flowers: BV01, BV02, BV13
  • Leaves: YG01, YG25
  • Dress and shoes: BG11, BG13, BG15
  • Dress hem: C0, C2
  • Skin: E51, E53, E34

I cut the image out and set it aside.

Next, I stamped the new Halftone Circle Background Stamp onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock using Altenew Chamomile Crisp Dye ink (from the Golden Sunset ink pad set). I positioned the background stamp towards the top of the card so that it would create a nice background for the top part of the girl.

Next, I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the sentiment towards the bottom of the panel.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the girl with her bouquet onto the card front and then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
