Happy March!
Today, we’re celebrating the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum release! If you arrived from SathyaKala Sankaran’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.
I started my card today by stamping the blooms and leaves onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I stamped the outline layers in Permanent Black ink, and then for the flowers, I stamped the bottommost layer in Sunray, the middle layer in Pink Pearl, and the top layer in Coral Bliss. I stamped the two layers of the leaves in Bamboo and Lime. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and set them aside.
Next, I put a 6×6 piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock into the Simple Frame 3D Embossing Folder. I like to start with a larger-than-A2-size piece of cardstock because sometimes the embossing changes the final dimensions of the panel. Then I ran it through my die cut machine in a sandwich of cutting plates that work well for my machine. The resulting dimension on the cardstock is gorgeous!
I trimmed the embossed panel down to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and then stamped the word Love onto it in Permanent Black ink. Then I used a combination of adhesive dots and foam tape to adhere the flowers and leaves. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for coming by! Your next stop is the lovely Terri Koszler, and be sure to scroll to the bottom for information about the giveaway and for the full blog hop list!
