Friendship Cards, Just Because Cards

Floating By To Say Hi | The Rabbit Hole Designs February Release Blog Hop

Hello and happy Monday, I hope you had a nice weekend!

I’m excited to be part of The Rabbit Hole Designs’ blog hop celebrating their February release. If you’ve arrived from visiting Nicole Ligaard Jensen, you’re right on track. If you’d like to start from the beginning, head on over to The Rabbit Hole Designs!

Floating By To Say Hi

My first card today features the sweet bunny from the Come Fly With Me stamp set. I stamped the image in Copic-Friendly Hero Arts Intens-ified Black ink onto white cardstock and then set about coloring. I used RV52, RV55, and RV66 for the flowers and ribbon, a bit of Y18 for the flower anthers, and for the leaves I used YG13 and YG17. I colored up the bunny and basket in a variety of browns and then used the coordinating die to cut out the image.

Next, I used the Clouds In My Coffee stencil to create the background. I positioned on side of the stencil at an angle over a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock and then used a Cotton Tail Blending Brush to blend a bit of blue dye ink over the stencil and onto the panel. Then, I moved the stencil down a bit on the panel, angling it in the other direction and repeated. I repeated one more time and then positioned and blended over the small individual cloud stencils to add more layers. When I finished the sky, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the bunny image to the sky background and then used foam tape to adhere the panel to an A2-sized card base.

Friends Are Like Flowers

My second card today features the sweet moped-riding bunny from the Spring Delivery stamp set. Once again, I stamped the image in Copic-Friendly Hero Arts Intens-ified Black ink onto white cardstock and then colored with Copics. When I finished coloring, I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and set it aside.

To create a little cobblestone road I positioned the Back Alley stencil along the bottom of an A2-sized panel of white cardstock and then used a blending brush to blend light brown ink over the stencil and onto the cardstock. Then, I blended on some blue ink towards the top of the panel to create a hint of sky. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in black ink, adhered the bunny with foam tape, and then adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Tangii Crain!
