Hi there, I hope you’re having a nice weekend!

We’re counting down to tomorrow’s Hero Arts January release and today I’m sharing a card featuring the new My Monthly Hero card kit (the kit and link go live on 1/4). I love the gorgeous florals and chubby bees in this kit!

I started by stamping the two flowers and bee in Copic-friendly INTENS-ified black ink onto Dove White cardstock. I colored the petals using RV00, R81, R83, R85, and the leaves using G43, YG63, and G46. For the bee, I used Y15 with a bit of W0 and W2 for its wings. Using the coordinating dies, I cut out the three images and set them aside.

For the background I used the standalone die that’s included in the kit to cut a honeycomb pattern out of a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Dove White cardstock. I blended a bit of Butter Bar Mid-Tone Shadow Ink onto the honeycomb using a blending brush and then placed the panel over another panel of Dove White (this one A2-sized) to position and stamp the sentiment in black ink.

To assemble the card, I adhered the bee and blooms onto the honeycomb panel with foam tape and then adhered that panel onto the sentiment panel with more foam tape. Finally, I adhered the card front to a card base.

  35. Fir a card about a bee this is so soft and delicate. The coloring of the flower is so realistic and dainty. Very pretty. Boy I do love that honeycomb die!!
