Hello there, I hope you’re having a lovely day!
It’s the 15th and that means we have a new challenge up on A Blog Named Hero. This month’s theme is CAS(E) your favorite card and for my card today, I’m CAS(E)-ing the wonderful Laura Bassen. I chose this card, whose clean and simple design combined with bright and cheerful colors caught my attention and wouldn’t let go.

I began by selecting a gradient of quarter-inch color cardstock strips from a collection that I pre-cut a while back. To create a backing to hold all the strips together, I ran a tape runner over a piece of scrap cardstock (I used scrap because it ends up completely hidden in the finished card). Then, I pieced the strips to the sticky cardstock and when I finished, I trimmed the piece to be just a bit wider than the die I planned to use.
Next, I used one of the three dies in the Hero Arts Tri-Fold Edge Village die set to cut a piece of white cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Autumn Forest stamp set in black and then used foam tape to adhere the piece over the striped panel.
To finish, I used more foam tape to adhere the combined striped panel and village piece onto an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!

Such beautiful elegance!
