Fall Cards

Fall Greetings | Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Countdown

Hi there, I hope you’ve had a good week!

We’re counting down to the release of the new Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Card kit! The kit goes live on Tuesday, September 8th at 10am PST/1pm EST.

For my card today I stamped the pumpkin layers in Fresh Lawn, Pine, Butter Bar, and Orange Soda inks and then stamped the cornfield layers in Pine and Navy. Then I heat embossed the sentiment using clear Embossing & Watermark ink and Brass embossing powder. Then I used the coordinating die to cut out this layer and set it aside.

For the background I used foam blending tools and Reactive inks to blend a dusky sky. I started with a circle of Lemon Drop near the center left of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of bristol smooth cardstock and then blended an arc of Fruit Punch into the yellow. Next I added an arc of Grape Slush, and finally a bit of Blue Hawaii.

Next, I stamped the birds in Fog Reactive ink onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of layering vellum and quickly poured Ultra Fine embossing powder over the image and melted it with a heat gun.

To assemble the card, I added glue only to the bottom of the ink-blended panel and adhered the vellum panel to it (the visible part of the vellum panel is not adhered at all). Then I used foam tape to adhere the pumpkin patch layer. Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
