Hi there, I hope you’re having a good week!

Today I have a quick card for you featuring the beautiful Gum Leaf Border die from Paper Rose Studio.

I love the border dies from Paper Rose, they’re a great way to bring all of those extra backgrounds you have lying around to life!

This ink-blended background was an A2-sized panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock onto which I’d blended Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks using foam blending tools. I had this in a pile on my desk so all I needed to do for this card was to trim it in half, lengthwise.

For the top layer of my card, I used the Gum Leaf Border die to cut an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  I placed it top side down onto my work surface and then added small dots of glue behind the leaves.  I placed the ink-blended half-pan over the glue (using caution not to let the panels slide around since the glue will activate and smear the Oxide ink) and then used plain tape to tape the edges of the ink-blended panel to the back of the Neenah panel.  Then I added tape runner around the entire piece and adhered it to an A2-sized card base.

For the sentiment, I pulled out the elegant Big Scripty Hello die from Ellen Hutson. I die cut the sentiment from white cardstock and shadow layer from vellum and then adhered the two together.  Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front.

For the second card I followed the same steps, except for turning the ink-blended panel by 180 degrees.

Thank you so much for coming by!
