Hi there, I hope you’ve had a good week and that you’ve been keeping safe and healthy!
Today I have a card featuring the Loosely Lined Flowers Background stamp from My Favorite Things. And, through July 6th, this stamp and all of the products I used today are 20% off at Ellen Hutson with the coupon code: fireworks20
I started off with an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Using foam blending tools, I blended Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide inks onto the panel. I recently reinked my ink pads so they were really juicy and the colors were very vibrant. Because the ink was so wet, I let the panel dry overnight before heat embossing over it. If you’re in a rush, you could heat emboss first and then ink blend over the heat embossing, which will resist the ink.
When the panel was dry, I treated it with an anti-static powder tool and then used white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the background image. I love the fine line details of this floral stamp!
Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the My Favorite Things Well, Hello stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a strip of Neenah Solar White. Then I adhered the strip to a slightly larger strip of vellum, backed it with foam tape and adhered it to the background. I trimmed the background down to 4″ x 5.25″ and adhered it to an A2-sized card base. For a final touch, I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix sequins around the card.
Thank you so much for visiting!
