Happy Birthday | The Ton Stamps Fifth Anniversary Release

Hi there, I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!

The Ton Stamps is celebrating their fifth anniversary with a three-day Instagram hop and I’m so honored to be part of day three.  There’s a giveaway over on Instagram so be sure to head on over there if you’d like to join in!  Look for this card in my feed to learn more!

The Ton - 2020 Fifth AnniversaryThis cute typewriter is part of the new Vintage Type layering stamp set. The set has four stamps that come together to create but I used just three inks, using the same two inks for the first two layers.  The overlap of those two layers created enough depth of color, even though I used the same ink pad.  The colors I used were Altenew Dew Drops, Altenew Lagoon, and Versafine Clair Morning Mist.

Once I had the typewriter stamped out, I masked off the edges of the sheet of paper and then used Altenew Silver Stone to stamp small flowers from the Magnificent Magnolias stamp set around the paper, as if it were a piece of flowery stationary.  Using RV11 and RV55 Copic markers, I added a bit of shading to the petals, and then went in with some pink and red colored pencils to add a bit more detail.  Then I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  I used my ScanNCut to cut out the image and set it aside.

For the background, I stamped larger floral images from the Magnificent Magnolias set around the edges of an A2-sized piece of white cardstock using the same Morning Mist ink from earlier.

To assemble the card, I backed the typewriter in foam tape and adhered it to the background, and then I adhered the background to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
