Hi there, I hope your day is going well!
It’s a new month which means there’s a brand new Greenhouse Society stamp set from Technique Tuesday: Royal Jasmine! If you love florals, don’t forget that you can subscribe to the Greenhouse Society for a great monthly discount.
When I saw this pretty bloom and the accompanying sentiments, I decided to make a sympathy card. I started by using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and Hero Arts clear embossing powder to heat emboss the blooming branch onto Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper. Then i used a round 2 brush and a teeny bit of Brusho Crystal Colour powders to watercolor. I used Grey for the petals, Yellow for the stamen, and Leaf Green for the leaves and stem.
When the watercolor was dry, I used the coordinating die to cut it out and then backed it with foam tape. I adhered it to a panel of Neenah Solar White which I’d cut down 3.25″ x 4.5″ and onto which I’d stamped the sentiment, in the same black ink.
Then I adhered that panel to an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White that I’d stamped with the Hero Arts Wallpaper background stamp. I used Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink which is a pretty gray.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Every time I think I’m going to end my greenhouse subscription they get me with another great flower. I have been a member for almost three years. Great card.
