Fall Cards, Thanksgiving Cards

Happy Friendsgiving

Hi there and happy World Cardmaking Day!

Today I’ve got a quick shaker card using some fun fall-themed items from Trinity Stamps.

I started by creating the background using the Layered Birch stencil set.  First I blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and a bit of Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then I placed one birch stencil over the panel and blended a brown Distress Oxide ink over it.  I repeated this with two other birch stencil layers and varying shades of brown Distress Oxide inks.

The pumpkins were left over from another card I made recently.  They are from the Autumn Forest Friends stamp set and the Nutty Squirrel stamp set, and colored with Y18, YR15, and YR18 Copic markers.

I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Sentiments stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a strip of Neenah Solar White and lastly, before assembling the card, I used a die from the Hero Arts Nested Rectangles die set to cut a rectangle out of an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White.

To assemble the card, I used a strong double-sided tape to adhere a sheet of Hero Arts acetate to the back of the white frame and then added foam tape around the frame.  I placed a generous portion of Trinity Stamps’ Autumn Leaves Embellishment Mix over the birch background and then adhered the frame panel over it.

Then I adhered the pumpkins, two with adhesive Zots and one with foam tape for dimension.  I adhered the sentiment with foam tape and to finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks so much for visiting!
