Hi there, friends!
Today I’m sharing a card using the new Leaf Clusters stamp set from Altenew. If you’ve ever needed a versatile set of leaves, for a background or to spotlight, this is it!
I started by placing several of the leaf cluster stamps onto acrylic blocks. I left them stamp-side-up and inked them one at a time, first with Grass Field, then adding a bit of Lime and finally some Bamboo to create an ombre effect on each stamp. I stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock and when I had a tree’s worth of leaves, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I used the Simply Friend die to cut out the large sentiment from a piece of Neenah Desert Storm. Then I used Hero Arts white embossing powder to heat emboss “miss you” onto another piece of Desert Storm. Forgive me, I can’t remember which Altenew stamp set this smaller sentiment came from!
To assemble the card, I adhered “friend” to the center of an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White and adhered the small sentiment strip using foam tape. Then I began placing the leaves around the edges of the panel to create a frame. I adhered some of the leaves flush to the card and for some of the leaves I used Zots Bling adhesive dots, so the would stand a little loose from the card for subtle dimension.
To finish, I trimmed any leaves hanging off the edges of the card front and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you for coming by!
Lovely cards! I really like the gorgeous colors.
