Hi there, I hope your week got off to a good start!
Today I’m sharing another card featuring the Flower Power stamp from The Stamp Market. I love the beautiful simplicity of this background stamp!
I started by using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the background onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I used a selection of Arteza Real Brush pens, as well as a Pentel Aquash water brush pen filled with clean clear water, to quickly watercolor the flowers. Rather than direct-to-paper, I scribbled the colored Arteza pen on my glass work surface and then used the water brush pen to pick up the colors, as well as to blend them. I started with Hot Pink for the flowers at the bottom, and then started mixing colors (Rouge Pink, Apricot, Honey, and Acid Yellow) to create a gradient effect from bottom to top.
The sentiment is from the Beyond Grateful stamp set, also from The Stamp Market. I stamped it in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a scrap piece of Neenah Solar White. Then I trimmed it and adhered it to the background with foam tape for dimension.
As a finishing touch, I used Sakura Glaze pens to add a few dots at the center of each flower. I used Rose #821, Red #819, Orange #805, and Yellow #803.
Lastly, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for coming by!
Great card, love the colour change with your flowers 🤗
