Hi again!
Today I pulled together stamps from several Picket Fence Studios stamp sets for a card that I thought would be fun for Oscar night.
I started by creating two champagne flutes out of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I don’t have dies this shape so I drew one side of a glass in pencil, cut it out, and then used the negative piece as a stencil to draw the other side of the glass so that the glass would be symmetrical. I cut along the second side and then used the completed glass as a template to create a second glass.
I ran an anti-static powder bag over the glasses and then put them in a Mini Misti stamping tool. I inked up the A Bottomless Sea stamp with Wow! Embossing Pad and used Judikins Translucent Gold embossing powder to emboss the bubbles. I masked off the top part of each glass and used a foam blending tool to blend on Scattered Straw Distress Ink, and then I used a B0000 Copic marker to add just a touch of blue shadow around the white edges of the glass.
To create the background, I stamped the Circles of Faith stamp in Altenew Morning Frost Crisp Dye Ink. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the sentiment which comes from the Sweet Dear Friend stamp set.
I adhered one champagne glass flush to the background and then used foam tape to adhere the other. To finish the card, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for swinging by!
and the Oscar goes to…. YOU! for best original artwork, and supporting character! LOve it, Seeka!! oh the bubbles!!!
