Hi there, I hope you had a great day!

Today I played with the January Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit again.  It’s kind of amazing what a great value this kit is month after month, and this month’s kit is so full of sweet little images!

I started by stamping the bicycle, flower, crate, and balloon images in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  Then I got down to coloring.  I used , R20, R22, R24, and R29 for the balloons and bicycles, and C1, C3, and C5 for the bicycle seat, handlebar, and pedal.  For the crate and basket I used Y35, YR24, and YR27.  I used Y06, Y17m, and YR16 for the flowers and G43 and G05 for the leaves.  I die cut everything out and adhered the crate and flowers to the bicycle.  I also trimmed off the kickstand of the bicycle and used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to cover the part of the kickstand that I wasn’t able to trim off.

For the background, I used Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Concord and 9th Love Always stamp onto an A2-sized piece Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then I blended on Salty Ocean Distress ink for the sky, adding a bit of darker Blueprint Sketch Distress ink at the very top, and Twisted Citron Distress ink at the bottom, with a bit of darker Mowed Lawn at the very bottom.  Using a very lightly damp paper tower, I gently wiped away the ink that was sitting on top of the embossed hearts.

I stamped the sentiment, also from the card kit, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  Then, to assemble the card, I adhered all bicycle and balloons (trimming the strings of some of the balloons) with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks for visiting!
