Hi there, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today’s card uses an adorable set from Elizabeth Craft Designs and a sentiment set from Mama Elephant.
I started by stamping images from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Marshmallow Snowmen stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored the mug with RV10, RV23, RV25, and RV29. I also used RV29 for the candy canes. For the snowman’s candy hat and buttons, I used BG02 and BG05. For the cocoa, I used E13, E23, E25, and E29. When I finished coloring, I die cut the images using the coordinating die set. I also used an Xacto knife to cut out the inside of the mug’s handle which was not cut out by the die.
For the background, I blended Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks onto a 4″ x 5.25″ of Strathmore Bristol Smooth. Then I used a small paint brush to splatter white gouache onto the background to create a snow-like feel. I heat embossed a small star (using one of the stamps from the Marshmallow Snowmen set) using white Hero Arts embossing powder.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Mama Elephant Puffy Holiday Greetings stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a scrap of Neenah Solar White. I fussy cut it out and then assembled the card using foam tape to adhere the die cut pieces and the sentiment the background. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so very much for coming by!
