Hello and happy Monday! Today’s an especially happy Monday for me, since I’m taking the day off of work. I’ve got errands to run and chores to do, but I’m hoping to squeeze in some bonus crafting time 🙂
Today’s quick and easy card uses supplies from a few different companies: Altenew’s Coffee Love stamp set, Studio Calico’s Coffee by One Little Bird stamp set, and My Favorite Things’ Sun Ray stencil.
I started by taping the stencil over an piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Since the sun area of the stencil was smaller than the coffee pot, I created a larger circular mask using Judikins Eclipse Tape and the 9th largest die from the Hero Arts Infinity Nesting Circles die set. I stuck the mask over stencil and then used a foam blending tool to blend Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink from the center of the sun out to the edges of the card. Then, I blended Mustard Seed Distress Ink, a slightly darker yellow, from the center and out only an inch or two so that the rays fade out to the lighter yellow near the edges of the card.
With the rays complete, I placed the negative part of the mask over the body of the sun and used the blending tool to add Mustard Seed ink to the center of the sun.
Then, I used a Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the French press and the sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx ink.
Finally, I trimmed the card front to 4″ x 5.25″, added foam tape to the back, and adhered it to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for stopping by!
