Hi there, I hope your week is going well!

There’s a new challenge up on A Blog Named Hero and this month’s theme is Celebrate!  If you hadn’t heard, Hero Arts is celebrating their 45th anniversary and we’re joining in the fun!

59423344_10156153467346156_8808400177980243968_nI started this clean and simple card by placing the Garland Bold Prints background stamp* into a Misti stamping tool.  I placed a A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White into the Misti and then used three colors of Hero Arts ink (Ultra Pink, Fresh Peach, and Butter Bar) to ink up different parts of the stamp, letting the colors overlap in some areas.  I stamped and then looked for bare spots which I inked up and stamped again.

20190512_154022Leaving the stamp in place in the Misti, I removed the stamped panel and ran an anti-static powder tool over it.  I placed it back into the Misti and then inked up the stamp with Wow! Embossing Pad and stamped over my previously stamped image.  I poured Ultra Fine Hero Arts clear embossing powder over the image and then melted the powder with a Wagner heat gun.  This gave the garlands a pretty and shiny texture while letting the ink colors shine through.

Using Hero Arts Intense Black ink, I stamped the sentiment which is from the Snarky Mix & Match Messages stamp set.  Then I trimmed the panel down to 4″ by 5.25″.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the stamped panel to an A2–sized card base.

Thanks so much for swinging by and please be sure to visit the other A Blog Team Members to see more inspiration!
