Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the July collection. If you missed last month’s launch of the reimagined Hero Arts monthly subscription program, be sure to check out the six new Hero Studio subscriptions options!
This month’s July Hero Studio Cardmaking Kit features a beautiful collection of supplies to make many seaside-themed projects.
For this card, I used just the stamps and a selection of inks. Onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Dove White cardstock I stamped the water in Arctic and Paradise Core Inks and then stamped the cloudy blue sky in Cornflower and Stone Wash. Then I used large blending brushes to blend Sand around the water and part way up the panel, and Mist between the sand and the stamped sky. Next, I stamped the sentiment, beach huts, and footprints in Onyx pigment ink. To finish, I cut the panel down to a smaller size using a die from the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Die Set and then used foam tap to adhere it to a top-folding card base.
Just A Little Note
My second card features the Color Layering Beach Ball Stencils stencil set. I used large blending brushes to blend Bermuda, Cornflower, and Ultra Pink over the three layers of the stencil and then added a stamped sentiment from the Mandala Flower Pattern stamp set. I cut the sentiment using a die from the HA + RT Essential Messages Stamp & Cut XL bundle and then cut two more angled pieces from Lapis and Paradise cardstocks. I glued the three layers together, offsetting the Lapis and Paradise layers, and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the background. To finish, I trimmed off the part of the sentiment piece hanging off the left edge of the background and then glued the card front to a card base.

This month’s collection features bold urban images and textures. For this card I used the layering sky stamps in the June Hero Studio Cardmaking Kit to stamp the sky in a blend of Dusty Blue and Cornflower Core Inks, with just a bit of Summer Sky at the top, onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock. For the white cloud layer, I just barely touched a Charcoal ink pad to the stamp before very lightly stamping down.
Next, I positioned the stencil from the kit over the bottom portion of the panel, making sure to overlap the bottom edge of the sky scene. Using an extra large blending brush, I blended a heavy layer of Charcoal ink over the stencil. Then I used a die from the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Die Set to cut the panel down to a smaller size.
For the sentiment, I used Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment, which is also from the kit, and then to finish the card I used foam tape to adhere the card front to a card base.
Stay Coo!
My next card features the June Clear Set + Dies of the Month as well as the Decorative Tile Pattern Stencil. I stamped the images in Intense Black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. For the background, I stamped the floor tile pattern and then positioned the stencil above the floor. I blended Mist ink over the stencil to create a tiled wall.
To assemble the card, I trimmed the panel down and then used foam tape to adhere the stamped images and sentiment. Then used more foam tape to adhere the card front to a panel of Arctic cardstock and which I then glued to a card base.

My card today features the June Layering Stencil Of The Month which includes four stencils that make it so easy to create this beautiful village scene. For this card, I chose to skip one of the three layers so that some of the buildings remained white. The options are endless!
