Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the October release with a blog hop and a giveaway. If you’ve arrived from visiting Pocono Pam, you’re right on track!
The Hero Arts October release transports you to a snowy night in the forest. This month’s Classic kit features a set of three gorgeous layering dies for building your wintry scene. A 3″ x 4″ stamp set supplies swirling snow and stars. There are four message dies with frames; very useful for the holiday season. The highlight of the expanded Premium kit is a set of three “peeking” animal dies. Add them to your winter scene for a whimsical touch. There’s also a 4″ x 6″ stamp set featuring images with a Nordic flare for building ornaments, flowers, snowflakes, and more. We’ve included a fun new product making its kit debut – white acrylic spray! A generous assortment of cardstock enhances the theme. The finishing touch to the Premium Kit is a set of beautiful vellum snowflakes.

Happy Winter
My card today features elements from the Classic version of the kit. I due cut the layers of the scene from Dove White, Arctic, and Mist cardstocks. On the layer cut with Mist (the layer with the moon), I used a blending brush to blend Aquatic over the top half of the panel for a bit of depth and variation.
I glued the layers together and then glued them to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Adriatic cardstock onto which I’d splattered white gouache paint to create a snowy sky.
Then, I die cut the sentiments from Azalea cardstock and their shadow layers from Dove White. I glued them together and then used foam tape to adhere them to the card front. To finish, I glued the card front to a top-folding card base.

Merry Christmas
My second card features the new Peeking Bear Cub die and the new Ornament dies. I die cut the bear from Dove White cardstock and then used a light gray Copic marker to add just a bit of shading to his fur. Then I used a black pen to add his eyes and nose and then set him aside.
I cut the layers of the ornaments from Peony, Azalea, and silver glitter paper from the Holiday Sparkle Glitter Paper pack and then glued them together.
For the background, I stamped the Jingle Bells background stamp in Arctic ink onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Arctic cardstock. I trimmed 3/8″ off both the length and width of the panel and then used foam tape to adhere it to a white top-folding card base. Then I used more foam tape to add the ornaments, bear, and a sentiment.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Essie. Be sure to read below for giveaway details!
