Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the June release with a blog hop and a giveaway. If you’ve arrived from visiting Pocono Pam, you’re right on track!
The June release My Monthly Hero kit features a Color Layering stamp set that captures the magical play of light on the ocean at sunset. The Classic Kit includes a 6″ x 8″ stamp set featuring this HeroScape scene, including images to add embellishments, such a dock, a lighthouse and sea birds. There are coordinating dies, as well as a beautiful oval window die to set the beach scene. The Classic Kit is rounded out with four ink cubes in perfect sunset colors, and six sheets of watercolor paper. The upgraded Premium kit includes everything in the Classki Kit plus a fun three-piece stencil set for creating a seashell background. Or cut out the stenciled shells as individual project elements! There are embellishments galore, including both custom sequins and enamel stickers. The Premium Kit is capped off with a tub of a gorgeous, brand new iridescent embossing powder. Try this powder on both light and dark cardstocks for varying results!
Sending You An Ocean Of Thanks
My first card today features elements from the Classic Kit. I stamped the ocean, cloud, and sun images using Mist and Paradise for the water, Dusty Blue for the clouds, and Dandelion for the sun. I also blended a bit of Mist above the sun to create a light blue sky.
Next, I die cut the oval window die from a panel of Dove White cardstock and then used foam tape to adhere it over the background scene. Then I stamped the sentiment in Onyx pigment ink onto white cardstock, die cut it, and added it to the card front. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.
Swimming By To Say Hello
My second card features the new Sea Creatures Fancy Die set. First, I used a die from the Arches Infinity die set to cut an acrylic paint-smooshed panel. Then I used dies from the Sea Creatures set to cut ocean elements from different colors of cardstock. Using blending tools, I added ink to both color and shade each piece. I glued them to the arched panel and then used foam tape to adhere the panel to a card base. To finish, I added a sentiment from the Hello Fishes stamp set.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Essie. Be sure to read below for giveaway details!

The Sea Creatures Fancy Die set is so great. Love the different ways you can color or not the die cuts and group or space the different elements around the card. Love the different looks everyone is giving that set of dies.
