Hiiiiii there and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the December release with a blog hop and a giveaway. If you’ve arrived from visiting Heather Ruwe, you’re right on track!
Do you think in images or do you think in words? In the December release, Hero Arts has something for everyone with the ability to express yourself in both! There is an extra large clear stamp set chock full of unique and whimsical illustrations that go beyond the typical “A is for Apple”, pairing beautifully with a full modern bold alphabet. A fun alphabet cover plate die, watercolor pencils, paper, and brush. The Premium kit also includes a 4″ x 6″ Numbers clear stamp set, a Sea Salt Reactive Inker, and a Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink. Rounding out the Premium Kit is the Fineline Applicator which makes working with the included Gold Glimmer ink fun! Use it to create freehand lines, words, and designs. The possibilities are endless!
My card features the die that’s included in the Classic Kit. For this card, I used the die as a hot foil plate and foiled the alphabet pattern onto a piece of Lapis cardstock. Then I used the die to cut letters out from Paradise cardstock to make a fun hello sentiment. To frame the sentiment, I cut an arch from the panel using the Arches Infinity dies and then popped it up from the background for a bit of dimension.
Supplies:
- December 2023 My Monthly Hero Classic Kit
- Gemini Aurora hot foil
- Lapis cardstock
- Paradise cardstock
- Arches Infinity die set
My second card features one of the new Letter dies with decorative elements from the from the Geometric Frames stamp and die bundle. I used Iridescent Gold embossing powder to heat emboss the diamond and the leafy images and then used glue and foam tape to arrange and adhere them, and the letter N, to a small white panel. I then glued this piece to a background made with tone-on-tone stamping of the Acanthus Bold Prints stamp in Passion Flower ink onto Passion Flower cardstock. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.
Supplies:
- Letter J-N Fancy Dies
- Geometric Frames stamp and die bundle
- Acanthus Bold Prints background stamp
- Amethyst cardstock (for the diamond)
- Passion Flower cardstock (for the letter “N” and the background)
- Passion Flower ink
- Iridescent Gold embossing powder
- Dove White cardstock

Wonderful cards, friend! Letterforms just make me so happy. (I was going to try to cut back on shopping, but now I don’t think I’ll be able to. I need these!) Foiling that plate of letter dies for the background is brilliant.

Love the cards. Will have to look up again how to hot foil using regular dies, because that made a spectacular background!
