Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the August release with a blog hop and a giveaway. If you’ve arrived from visiting Pocono Pam, you’re right on track!
The August release was inspired by a recent trip the Hero Arts owners took to Yosemite National Park! With dies to cut out trees, mountains, plateaus and fields of wildflowers, the number of scenes that can be created is endless. In addition to these show-stopping dies, the full Premium Kit features a 4″ x 6″ stamp set full of messages, useful for a variety of card-giving occasions, or as inspirational embellishments on your mixed media projects. There’s also a 3″ x 4″ stamp set full of blooming poppies. There are coordinating dies to cut out the flowers, too! The Hero Transfers have been a huge hit this year, so the kit is packed with four sheets of fabulous cactus rub-ons; use these on cards, planners, journal pages – you name it! EarthSafe Glitter is a fitting element to include in a kit celebrating nature; you’ll have the opportunity to try out Hero Arts’ fully biodegradable gold glitter. Rounding out the Premium Kit are brass embossing powder, a gorgeous Two-Tone Shimmer Spray, and a sampling of premium cardstock in six beautiful colors.
Wishing You The Best In Your Next Adventure
My first card today features elements from the Classic version of the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit. I used the tree dies to cut a piece of paper that I’d sprayed with green and aqua ink sprays (I didn’t get a chance to play with the spray included in the kit; the spray I used are from Ranger). I also used a small circle die from the Circles Infinity die set to cut a piece of paper sprayed with yellow and orange ink sprays.
I cut the mountain layer from white and then used foam tape to adhere all the pieces together. To finish, I stamped the sentiment in Onyx pigment ink and then glued the card front to a Dove White top-folded card base.
Greetings From California
My second card features the Golden State stamp set.
I made the background by dropping a few drops of Mist re-inker onto my glass craft mat. I sprayed the drops with water and also misted a piece of heavy white cardstock before dragging the cardstock through the drops. I let the panel dry and then stamped the California images using Copic-friendly Intens-ified Black Ink. I used Copic markers to color in the images and then I used foam tape to adhere the panel to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Paradise cardstock. To finish, I glued the card front to a card base.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Essie. Be sure to read below for giveaway details!

Lovely cards! Thanks for inspiring me and many others month in and month out. You’re a California treasure! No… a national cardmaking treasure!
