Happy Happy Happy Birthday To You | Hero Arts March 2025 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! We’re blog hopping today to celebrate the Hero Arts March release. If you’re not already a monthly subscriber, be sure to check out all of the Hero Studio subscriptions options!

My first card features the Card Kit of the Month. This kit has bows galore and a gorgeous cover plate that creates a streamer effect that is perfect to frame a celebratory sentiment. I blended Amethyst, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, Dandelion, Green Apple, and Cornflower Core Inks across a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Dove White cardstock. Then I used the cover die the cut another 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of of white cardstock as well as a panel of Paradise cardstock, making sure to keep the large center fall-out piece from the Paradise panel. I glued the white cover piece over the ink-blended background and then glued the Paradise fall-out piece into the center opening.

I heat embossed and die the happy sentiment three times using white embossing powder and Paradise cardstock. I also heat embossed the smaller sentiment onto the card front. Using foam tape, I adhered the three die-cut sentiments to the card front and then I glued the card front to a card base.

It’s Your Day

My second card features the super fun Layer Stencils of the Month: It’s Your Day set. Just a few easy-to-line-up stencil layers and your choice of colors creates a fun full-A2-sized card front! For this quick card, I blended a rainbow of colors over the stencils and onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock: Amethyst, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, Papaya, Dandelion, Green Apple, Cornflower, and Summer Sky. Then I used die from the Rounded Rectangles Infinity dies to trim the panel. To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the stenciled panel to an Ultra Pink card base.

Happy Birthday XOXO | Hero Arts January 2025 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! We’re blog hopping today to celebrate the Hero Arts January release. If you’re not already a monthly subscriber, be sure to check out all of the Hero Studio subscriptions options!

January’s Hero Studio collectionFor the Love of Stamping” features a charming vintage typewriter, timeless hearts, and elegant florals. This collection is perfect for crafting heartfelt cards, love notes, and valentines for the ones you cherish most.

My first card features the January Card Kit of the Month. This kit is absolutely packed with stamps and dies! For the easy layered typewriter, I stamped in Paradise and Aquatic Core Inks, and Onyx Pigment ink. Then I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I also stamped and die cut the sheet of paper with the sentiment using other elements included in the kit.

For the background, I used the included large cover die from the kit to cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Ultra Pink cardstock (a half sheet is included in the kit). I love the beautiful texture this creates!

To finish, I glued the typewriter and sheet of paper together and then used foam tape to adhere it to the Ultra Pink panel. Then I glued the card front to a card base.

My next card features the Lots Of Love stencil. I blended Amethyst and Ultra Pink inks over the stencil, concentrating the pink in the center of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock. Then I used a two heart dies from the Card Kit of the Month to cut a small heart from the center of the stenciled panel, and a slightly larger heart from a piece of Passion Flower cardstock.

I glued the stenciled panel to a card base and then used foam tape to adhere the Passion Flower and stenciled hearts over the negative space left when I die cut the small heart out of the panel.

To finish, I die cut the sentiment from Iris cardstock using a die from the Love & Hearts die set and popped up at the center of the card front.

Have A Wild Birthday | Hero Arts August 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the August collection. If you aren’t yet familiar with the reimagined Hero Arts monthly subscription program that launched in June, be sure to check out the six new Hero Studio subscriptions options!

This month’s collection has everything you need to create lush tropical jungle scenes!

Have A Wild Birthday

My first card features the stamps and coordinating dies from the August Card Kit of the Month.

For this card, I created two identical leafy borders, one for the top and one for the bottom of the scene, by stamping the three foliage layering stamps in Fresh Lawn, Aquatic, and Ultra Pink Core inks. I die cut the borders and set them aside.

Next, I stamped the water image in Aquatic onto a panel of white cardstock. I cut the panel down to about 3.5″ x 5″ and then stamped the elephant silhouettes in Onyx pigment ink. I used foam tape to adhere the leafy borders to the panel and then trimmed the edges of the borders that were hanging off the sides of the panel.

To finish, I used more foam tape to adhere the stamped and die cut sentiment, glued the panel to the center of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Kiwi cardstock which I then glued to a top-folding card base.

Sending Special Birthday Wishes

My second card features other wonderful sets from the new release. I used Copic markers to color the birds of paradise and leaves, and then I adhered them to a background created with a new cling stamp. To finish, I added a stamped and die cut sentiment.

Happy Birthday | Hero Arts July 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the July collection. If you missed last month’s launch of the reimagined Hero Arts monthly subscription program, be sure to check out the six new Hero Studio subscriptions options!

This month’s July Hero Studio Cardmaking Kit features a beautiful collection of supplies to make many seaside-themed projects.

For this card, I used just the stamps and a selection of inks. Onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Dove White cardstock I stamped the water in Arctic and Paradise Core Inks and then stamped the cloudy blue sky in Cornflower and Stone Wash. Then I used large blending brushes to blend Sand around the water and part way up the panel, and Mist between the sand and the stamped sky. Next, I stamped the sentiment, beach huts, and footprints in Onyx pigment ink. To finish, I cut the panel down to a smaller size using a die from the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Die Set and then used foam tap to adhere it to a top-folding card base.

Just A Little Note

My second card features the Color Layering Beach Ball Stencils stencil set. I used large blending brushes to blend Bermuda, Cornflower, and Ultra Pink over the three layers of the stencil and then added a stamped sentiment from the Mandala Flower Pattern stamp set. I cut the sentiment using a die from the HA + RT Essential Messages Stamp & Cut XL bundle and then cut two more angled pieces from Lapis and Paradise cardstocks. I glued the three layers together, offsetting the Lapis and Paradise layers, and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the background. To finish, I trimmed off the part of the sentiment piece hanging off the left edge of the background and then glued the card front to a card base.
