Hello and welcome! Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Garden Rose! If you arrived from Virginia Lu’s blog, you’re right on track. This awesome kit includes a 6″x8″ stamp set, coordinating dies, layering coloring stencils (including large sentiments!), and an embossing folder. Make sure you never miss a kit by subscribing and receive 14% off every month!

To recreate this card:

  1. Stamp the outline layer of the blooms and leaves in Permanent Black Crisp Dye ink
  2. Stamp the three yellow layers in Sunray, Chamomile, and Snapdragon (also available as part of a set)
  3. Use a large blending tool and the coordinating coloring stencil for the leaves, blending Limeade and then a bit of darker Lime at the edges of the leaves for dimension
  4. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the blooms and leaves, then set then aside
  5. Position the “thanks” stencil at an angle over a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock; use light tack tape, like washi or Post-it tape to hold in place
  6. Use a blending tool to blend Chamomile over the top half of the sentiment and Coral Berry over the bottom half of the sentiment and blend the colors into each other
  7. Blend Aqualicious at the top and bottom of the panel, concentrating the color at the top left and bottom right corners and letting the color fade to white towards the sentiment
  8. Assemble the card by adhering teh blooms and leaves using glue, glue dots, and foam tape for a variety of depths
  9. Adhere the card front to a card base
