Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Beautiful, Be You | Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Clematis Josephine Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I hope you’re having a nice day!

Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Clematis Josephine! If you arrived from the super-talented Jenny Colacicco’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.

This month’s floral is beautifully intricate and so I chose a very simple card design. I began by using Post-it Tape to mask off the borders of an A2-sized piece of white cardstock. Then, I used a large blending tool to blend Grape Agate, Amethyst, and Pale Mauve Crisp Dye inks onto the exposed area, concentrating the darker color at the bottom of the panel and lightening towards the top.

I removed the mask and then stamped a portion of the bouquet at the bottom left of the panel and a smaller portion at the top right in Permanent Black ink. I stamped the sentiment in the same black ink and then to finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting! Please be sure to check out information about the giveaway below before you head on to visit Colleen Balija!

  1. The soft graduated color is perfect to let the stamped outline image take the spotlight. The part of the image “off the center square” gives a lovely perspective of the uniqueness of one among many.
