Have A Novel Birthday | Hero Arts March My Monthly Hero Countdown + Giveaway

Hi there, I hope your day is going well!

We’re counting down to tomorrow’s Hero Arts March release and I’ve got a card today that features the new My Monthly Hero card kit (the kit and link go live on 3/8). The reading theme of this month’s kit is so adorable, and it’s perfect for National Reading Month!

I started off by stamping the girl in the chair, the side table, and stack of book images from the kit in Copic-friendly Intens-ified Black Ink onto Hero Hues Dove White cardstock. I colored up the images using a variety of Copics and then cut them out with the coordinating dies that come with the kit.

Next I stamped and colored in the tree at the edge of a 2.5″ x 7.5″ panel of Dove White. I stamped the sentiment and then adhered the three die-cut images using foam tape. I used more foam tape to adhere this panel onto a 3″ x 8″ panel of Hero Hues Periwinkle cardstock and then adhered the card front to a card base to finish.

Thanks so much for visiting! In case you missed it, be sure to swing by the Hero Arts blog for more ideas and to enter Hero Arts’ giveaway for a card kit!

  1. What a delightful card. The girl has settled in for a long day of reading her stack of books and steaming beverage, under her favorite tree where her imagination can just soar and take her all over the world.

  2. I think your card is adorable. That girl reminds me of how my sister and I spent much of our child (and adult) hood. This release is a must have!
