Altenew Fresh Start Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, lovelies, thank you for coming by to celebrate the Altenew Fresh Start release! The florals in this release have me yearning for Spring! Check out everything that’s new.

May Each Day Bring You More Happiness Than The Last

My first card today features the Airbrushed Flowers stamp set and coordinating dies (also available as a bundle). I think this set is my favorite from the release for its plump blooms and layering that leaves white space on the petals.

I began by stamping the outline layers for the blooms and leaves in black ink on white cardstock. For the flowers, I stamped the petal layers in Baby Pink and Puffy Heart, and the yellow centers in Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, and Snapdragon Crisp Dye Inks. For the leaves I used Limeade and Bamboo. I used the coordinating dies to cut out all of the images and then adhered them to an A2-panel of white cardstock using foam tape. I trimmed off the parts of the images that extended past the borders of the panel, adhered a sentiment stamped onto a strip of cardstock, and then adhered the card front to a card base to finish.

You Are The Sweetest

My second card uses the same floral set Airbrushed Flowers stamp set and this time I stamped the petals in Wisteria and Lavender Fields. I arranged and adhered the flowers over a stamped vase from the Versatile Vases 2 stamp set. To add color to the stamped vase, I used the coordinating Mask Stencil set to mask off the area around the vase while I blended a bit of Caribbean Sky ink onto the vase. To finish, I added a stamped sentiment and adhered my card front to a card base.

Birthday Wishes

For my third card, I used foam blending tools to blend Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks onto a panel of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I let the ink dry overnight (a few hours is sufficient), and then I heat embossed the large image from the Enchanted Roses stamp set onto the panel. To fill the panel, I stamped only portions of the image so what you see in the card is two sections of the overall stamp.

To finish, I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and adhered it with foam tape to card front before adhering the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Hello

For my last card today, I used the beautiful Spotted Orchid Stamp set to create two orchid blooms and three leaves. The petal layers are stamped in Buttercream, Vanilla Cream, Butternut, Pinkalicious, and Razzleberry Crisp Dye Inks, and the leaves are stamped in Limeade, Lime, and Fresh Leaf. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and then adhered them to a small panel that I’d ink-blended using Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks. I added a small black-cardstock-on-vellum sentiment that I created using the new Simple Greetings die set and then used foam tape to adhere my small card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is the wonderful Laurie Willison!
