Hi there, crafty friends! Today, Tonic Studios is celebrating their exclusive Shoot For The Moon December stamp and die release with a blog hop and giveaway. This stamp and die bundle is inspired by Maria Willis and once it’s sold out, it’s gone for good! If you’ve arrived from Mindy’s blog, you’re right on track! If you’d like to start at the beginning, head on over to visit Maria.

I started off by selecting three colors of blue cardstock for the three layers in my scene. I used three standalone dies from the kit to cut the two mountain ranges and the row of trees, using the lightest cardstock for the mountain range in the far background, and the darkest cardstock for the trees in the foreground. The dies are thoughtfully sized and can be used to create both landscape and portrait length scenes.
To create the moon, I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the moon stamp onto a piece of light gray cardstock and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I like that the die is just very slightly smaller than the moon stamp which means I didn’t have to worry about lining up the die perfectly and, there’s no border to the die cut piece! While I had the heat gun out, I also embossed the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock.
Next, I worked on my background which is an A2-sized piece of very light blue cardstock. I used a blending brush to blend light blue dye ink from the top of the panel down to the center. Then I added a bit of darker blue ink to create a deeper blue at the very top of the panel. To create a few stars, I used a small paint brush to splatter a bit of white acrylic paint onto the panel.
To assemble the card, I adhered the lightest mountain range to the background panel and then used foam tape to adhere the two foreground layers. I also used foam tape to adhere the moon and then trimmed off the part of the moon that hung over the edge of the panel. I adhered the sentiment and to finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

The dimension is beautiful on this card. The dies and Stamps look amazing, how clever that the die is slightly smaller…smart design!! the edge would certainly be distracting. This bundle is just gorgeous!
